Laura

Born and raised in Lunenburg, Laura has been in the dental field for 14 years and has spent the last six as our Lead Dental Hygienist. She knew she wanted a career in healthcare where she could help people in her community while also having the opportunity to build meaningful relationships with them. Her own experience with dental anxiety has played a big part in the way she cares for her patients. She truly understands what it feels like to be nervous in the dental chair and loves helping patients work through those fears until they can actually feel comfortable and even enjoy coming in to see her!

For Laura, one of the best parts of being a hygienist is simply getting to know her patients and learning about their lives. She loves being a key part of each patient's “dental journey” and watching them reach a level of dental health they're proud of, with a healthy, beautiful smile they love. Above all, she wants every patient who comes into the office to feel safe and genuinely cared for. And if she hadn't chosen dentistry, Laura says she likely would have still found herself in healthcare as an ultrasound technician.

Outside the office, Laura loves being a mom, spending time with family and friends, heading to the beach, and enjoying days out on the boat at Lake Shirley. Her perfect day off is pretty simple: being outside and relaxing! She's also a dog mom to her Schnoodle, Maxwell, and something you might not guess about her is that she used to play hockey. Laura is a night owl, loves fall, has a serious sweet tooth, and won't turn down a good burger. Her dream vacation is a Mediterranean cruise. For one last fun fact, her hidden talent is being able to touch her nose with her tongue!
